Introduction of the organisation
Care for a Girl Uganda Limited (CFAGU Ltd) is a registered non-governmental organization established in 2020 to empower vulnerable young women in Uganda. The organization focuses on transforming these women into socio-economic entrepreneurs while restoring their dignity and self-worth.
CFAGU provides young women with a range of skills, including vocational, technical, soft, agri-preneurship, and mindset development. This holistic approach equips them to secure dignified employment, earn reliable income, and become respected members of their communities.
The organization also operates as a growing social enterprise, offering psychosocial support, promoting gender equality, and delivering practical, hands-on training through community-based incubation programs. Trained youth referred to as “champions” are encouraged to return to their communities to establish businesses, share skills, and uplift others.
CFAGU’s tailored learning model covers on-farm, off-farm, and entrepreneurial pathways, with an emphasis on sustainable development. Graduates of the program become catalysts for innovation, education, health access, and financial inclusion in their communities.
