Who we are

Care for a Girl Uganda Limited (CFAGU Ltd) is a registered Non-Government Organisation incorporated by the laws of Uganda in 2020. Since its founding, the organisation serves as a focal point in transforming vulnerable young women into social-economic entrepreneurs as well as improving their image and dignity.

CFAGU Ltd competitive agenda is driven by the urge to empower young women with right skills that is; vocational skills, soft and technical skills, agri-preneurs skills and mind-set change that translate into dignified and fulfilling employment opportunities. Where young women gain reliable income that meets their needs, feel reputable, viewed as honest and well-regarded by society at large; respected and treated with appreciation and dignity, have sense of purpose with satisfaction, accomplishment and aspirations.

The organisation is expanding as social enterprises and scaling up its reach from not only providing psycho-social support, better prospects for personal development and social integration, freedom of expression, build self-esteem and association, women equality but also diverse use practical learning through incubation (hands-on training for business) of youth identified in communities and these youths (champions) in turn return to their communities establish agribusiness and business enterprises and train other youth.

Our approach to learning embraces tailored curriculum to the needs of the young women. Furthermore we center our focus on on-farm, off-farm, and business entrepreneurship skills. The young women take pathways through our home-based incubation center and  later transfers achieved skills to their communities. These young women will be a hub for development, learning, production, processing, trading, financial inclusion, health services, innovation and networking sphere within the society.
